Celebrating The Madness of Art - Museum of Art & Design MAD Christmas Party

Just like Santa, a new art space is coming to town.

The Museum of Art & Design, or MAD for short, has begun its bold and generous approach to living and breathing art with a happy soft launch on Christmas Day. So while December can get wet and cold, the Mad Christmas Party is hoping to bring family and loved ones closer, awaken the spirit of the yuletide season and stir the hearts with a thought-provoking exhibition of Korean artist Sohn Jinah's "Deep Inside". The artist will be featuring a collection of paintings and installation art showing her signature soulful chairs and lushly textured backgrounds.

Overlooking the vibrant shopping scenery of Singapore, MAD will be the first art space in Asia to feature an art museum that will expose important and usually inaccessible pieces of the best of contemporary art to everyone from 1 to 92 years old. In addition, MAD will be hosting regular visual installations, real time works by artists in residence, workshops, seminars and even more parties. An art boutique will also be housed within the space to allow participating artists to express themselves through channels outside of the traditional media such as merchandise. With its exciting calendar year of emerging and superstar artists lined up in various exhibitions and events relating to fashion, art, design and life - the space is intended to be a platform to celebrate the beauty of life.

But for now, MAD hopes to celebrate the spirit of giving, peace, joy and happiness with one and all this Christmas. The museum is open to the public during shopping hours.
